Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 14 October 2026
Our Organization
- Competitions on sumnervera.com (the "Website") are run by Sumnervera LTD ("we", "us", the "Promoter"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17050468, with its registered office at 11-12 Old Bond Street, Mayfair, London W1S 4PN.
- You can contact us at admin@sumnervera.com or by post at the address above.
- Our competitions are prize draws. Each is free to enter by post, with an optional paid online entry route. Where a competition includes a skill question, this is stated on its competition page.
Competition Overview
- These terms apply to every competition on the Website. Each competition page sets out its own details, including the prize, ticket price, maximum entries, per-person limit, opening and closing dates, draw date and any cash alternative (the "Competition Details"). The Competition Details form part of these terms. If they conflict with these terms, the Competition Details apply.
- Every competition can be entered free by post. Paid online entry is optional, and ticket prices are shown on each competition page.
- Where a competition includes a skill question, only correct answers go into the draw. This is stated on the competition page.
- We run competitions with live draws. Some may also include instant win prizes (see Instant Wins).
- By entering, you agree to these terms. Please keep a copy. We may update these terms, but changes do not affect a competition already open, except where required by law.
Participation Process
Each competition opens and closes at the dates and times in its Competition Details, or closes earlier if the maximum entries are reached. All times are UK time (GMT or BST, whichever is in effect).
- We will never extend a closing date, cancel a competition, or downgrade a prize because of low sales. Once a competition opens, the prize will be drawn and awarded whether or not it sells out. We may only change or cancel a competition if something outside our reasonable control makes it impossible to run fairly or lawfully, for example the prize being lost or destroyed, fraud, a serious technical failure, or a change in the law. If we change a date, we will announce it on the Website and our social channels.
- Entries received after the closing date, or after the postal cut-off for postal entries, are void.
- Each competition has a maximum number of entries, shown on its page. Once reached, the competition closes to new entries.
- To join online:
Paid Online Entry
- Create a Sumnervera account and log in.
- Choose a competition and the number of tickets.
- If the competition has a skill question, answer it before paying. Only correct answers go into the draw.
- Pay for your tickets. Payment is taken when you confirm your entry.
- Your entry is confirmed only when we email you your ticket numbers. Tickets also appear in your account.
- All submissions must be in English.
- We are not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed or incomplete, including through technical failure.
Free Postal Entry
- You can enter any competition free of charge by sending a handwritten postcard by first or second class post, with the correct postage paid, to: Sumnervera LTD, 11-12 Old Bond Street, Mayfair, London W1S 4PN. Printed, typed, unstamped and hand-delivered entries are not accepted.
- Your postcard must include your full name, address, phone number and the email address on your Sumnervera account, the name of the competition you are entering, and your answer if the competition has a skill question.
- You need a Sumnervera account to enter by post, for every competition.
- Incomplete, illegible, late or mechanically reproduced entries are void.
- One free postal entry is allowed per person per competition. Extra postcards, and multiple entries in one envelope, count as one entry.
- Postal entries must arrive at least 5 days before the closing date, by the postal cut-off shown in the Competition Details. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt.
- Valid postal entries have exactly the same chance of winning as paid entries. They are given ticket numbers, emailed to you, and included in the same draw.
- Postal entries count towards the competition's maximum entries. If that maximum is reached before your postcard is processed, it will not be entered.
Subscriptions
- We may offer subscriptions that give regular entries to competitions.
- Any subscription will have its own terms, shown before you sign up, including the price, what you get, and how to cancel.
Who Can Take Part
- Competitions are open only to people who are aged 18 or over, are permanently resident in the United Kingdom, and hold one Sumnervera account in their own name.
Who Cannot Win:
- The following people cannot win, and any entry they make is void: directors, employees, contractors and agents of Sumnervera LTD, including presenters and anyone paid to promote a competition;
- anyone professionally connected with running the competition, including our draw provider and prize suppliers; and
- the immediate family and household members of anyone above.
- We check age by date of birth and block anyone under 18. We may ask any entrant or winner for proof of age, identity, address or eligibility at any time.
- We reject entries that are computer-generated, incomplete, or submitted by any method not set out in these terms. You must not enter from outside the United Kingdom, or use a VPN or similar tool to hide your location.
- We may disqualify anyone who cheats, acts fraudulently, abuses our staff, or acts against the spirit of these terms.
- No one may hold more than 10% of a competition's maximum entries, across all entry routes. Any entries above this limit are void.
- Any fraud, cheating, or system manipulation will void your entries and may result in permanent exclusion.
- We may exclude residents of any part of the United Kingdom from future competitions where we reasonably believe this is required by law or by legal advice. If this affects a competition that is already open, we will refund in full the paid entries of anyone affected before the draw takes place. It will not affect any prize already won.
Your Account
- You need a Sumnervera account to enter, including by post. You may hold only one account. If you open more than one, we may close them all and void their entries and any prizes won.
- Your details must be accurate and kept up to date. Your name, address and date of birth must match your ID if you win.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for all activity on your account.
Sumnervera Privé Early Access
- Sumnervera Privé, our private members club, gives members early access to buy tickets before a competition opens to the public. Membership is limited and is offered at our discretion.
- During early access, members log in to their account on the competition page to enter. All of these terms, including the per-person limit, apply to members.
- Privé members can also enter free by post. Free postal entry is open to everyone, whether or not they are a member.
- Tickets bought during early access count towards the maximum entries. This means a competition can sell out before it opens to the public. The free postal route remains open until the postal cut-off or until the maximum is reached.
- Membership gives no better chance of winning per entry.
Reward Details
- Each prize is described in its Competition Details, including whether it is new or pre-owned and, if pre-owned, its condition.
- If a prize becomes unavailable for reasons outside our control, we may replace it with a prize of equal or greater value, or offer the cash alternative. We will update the Website if this happens.
- Every prize is genuine. New prizes are bought from the brand or an authorised retailer. Pre-owned prizes are authenticated before they are awarded. Prizes come with any manufacturer's or retailer's warranty that applies. We give no further warranty beyond what the law requires.
- Any special conditions for a prize will be stated in its Competition Details.
- Where a competition offers a cash alternative, the amount is stated in its Competition Details (for example, 63% of the prize value). The winner chooses either the prize or the cash alternative, not both, and the choice is final.
- Prizes must be claimed by the winner personally and cannot be transferred.
Winner Determination
- Winners are chosen at random from all valid entries using Random Draws UK's random number generator, and every draw is live-streamed and recorded. No one at Sumnervera can choose or influence the winner.
- Draws are streamed live on our Instagram account (@sumnervera.ltd) within 48 hours of the competition closing, on the draw date in the Competition Details. If the live stream fails, the draw will still go ahead on time. We will record it and publish the recording and result on the Website and our social channels.
- Where a competition has instant win prizes, results appear immediately on screen.
- Before the draw, we may publish a list of entries showing ticket numbers alongside first names and last initials.
- To have your name left off this list, email admin@sumnervera.com at least 48 hours before the draw.
- Winners must reply within 21 days of our first contact to claim their prize (see Collecting Your Prize).
- The draw result is final, except where a prize is forfeited (see Ineligible Winners and Forfeits).
Instant Wins
- Some competitions may include instant win prizes. Where they do, the Competition Details will list the prizes, the winning ticket numbers or how they are chosen, and how free postal entries take part. Instant win tickets cost the same as entries without instant wins.
Collecting Your Prize
- We contact winners by email and phone using their account details. We may also message them from our official Instagram account (@sumnervera.ltd). We will never ask a winner to pay anything to claim a prize. Messages from any other account are not from us.
- Prizes must be claimed by the winner personally. Third parties cannot claim on your behalf.
- To claim a prize, a winner must reply within 21 days of our first contact and provide valid photo ID and proof of address. Accepted ID: a UK photocard driving licence (full or provisional), a valid passport, or other ID we reasonably accept. Your name, address and date of birth must match your ID.
- If you cannot provide the ID or proof of address we ask for within 21 days, the prize will be forfeited.
- Physical prizes are delivered free of charge by fully insured Royal Mail Special Delivery, or a similar tracked and insured service, to the winner's verified address in the United Kingdom. We do not deliver outside the UK. We aim to deliver within 14 days of the winner's ID being verified.
- Keep your account details accurate and up to date. Responsibility for the prize passes to the winner on delivery. Once a prize has been dispatched, we are not responsible for any delay, loss or damage caused by the delivery service.
- Cash is paid by bank transfer to a UK bank account in the winner's own name, within 14 days of the winner's ID and bank details being verified.
- If a winner refuses delivery or cannot be reached to arrange it within 21 days, the prize may be forfeited. Winners are responsible for any tax that may apply to their prize.
Ineligible Winners and Forfeits
- A prize will be forfeited and not awarded if we reasonably believe that the winner:
- is under 18;
- is not permanently resident in the United Kingdom, or entered from outside it;
- is a connected person who cannot win;
- holds more than one account, entered above the per-person limit, or gave false details;
- cannot provide the ID or proof of address we ask for within 21 days;
- does not reply within 21 days of our first contact; or
- has committed fraud or chargebacks, or otherwise broken these terms.
- If a prize is forfeited, we will draw a new winner from the remaining valid entries using the same method, and announce the redraw publicly.
- If a prize has already been delivered and we later find the winner was ineligible, the winner must return it at our cost, or repay its value.
Payments and Site Credit
- Ticket prices are shown on each competition page in pounds sterling. Payment is taken when you confirm your entry.
- Credit card spending is limited to £250 per player per calendar month across all competitions. Debit cards are not subject to this limit, but your own spend limits apply.
- Your account wallet may hold site credit. Site credit can only be used to enter competitions on the Website. It has no cash value, cannot be withdrawn or transferred, and expires 6 months after it is added to your account.
Money Back Policy
- Entries are supplied to you as soon as they are confirmed. You agree to this when you enter, and you then have no right to cancel and receive a refund. Your legal rights are not otherwise affected. Refunds are not given when:
No Refunds Available For:
- you later find you were ineligible;
- you are disqualified; or
- you change your mind.
- Refunds are given in full if we cancel a competition, or if we accept an entry in error.
- If you raise a chargeback or payment dispute for a confirmed entry without first contacting us, we may void the related entries, suspend your account while we investigate, and withhold any prize won.
Mindful Play
- Our competitions should be fun. Only spend what you can afford.
- In your account you can set a monthly spend limit, including £0; suspend your account for a period you choose, of at least 6 months; or close your account permanently.
- Lowering a limit or suspending takes effect immediately. Raising a limit takes effect after a short delay, to give you time to reconsider.
- We monitor accounts for signs of harmful play and may contact you, apply limits, or suspend your account where we have concerns.
- If you are worried about your spending, free and confidential support is available from GamCare (gamcare.org.uk).
Legal Responsibility Limits
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited. Otherwise, we are not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed or incomplete, including through technical failure or postal delays; losses that were not reasonably foreseeable; or what happens to a prize after it is delivered. If we make an error in awarding a prize, for example due to a technical fault, we may correct it and award the prize to the correct winner.
Privacy and Public Announcements
- We handle your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy.
- Competition entry means you agree to data use for administration and prize delivery.
- We would love winners to take part in photos, videos or a live stream appearance, but this is optional.
- Saying no does not affect your prize.
- We announce winners by first name, last initial and town or county. We may share a winner's name and county with anyone who asks, and with regulators such as the Advertising Standards Authority.
- You can request data removal from our systems, but this may prevent prize collection if you're a winner.
Third-Party Website Links
Our site may include links to external websites. We don't control or endorse these sites, and you're responsible for reviewing their own privacy policies before sharing personal information.
Complaints
- If you have a complaint, email admin@sumnervera.com or use the contact form on the Website. We aim to reply within 24 hours and to resolve complaints within 7 days.
Additional Terms
- We may update these terms. Changes do not affect a competition already open, except where required by law.
- Serious rule violations may result in permanent exclusion from all our competitions.
- We may only change or cancel a competition if something outside our reasonable control makes it impossible to run fairly or lawfully. If we cancel, we will refund all paid entries in full.
- Our competitions are not sponsored, endorsed or run by Instagram, Meta, TikTok or any brand whose products are offered as prizes, unless stated.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts there.
- Keep a printed copy of these terms for your records.
- If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
